Job summary

Alternatives, Inc. in Somerset, NJ is seeking a part-time Direct Support Professional (DSP) / Caregiver to help adults with developmental disabilities live with independence and dignity.

You will assist with daily living tasks, medication administration, meals, hygiene, and transportation to appointments in a residential setting. We offer paid trainings, mileage reimbursement, holiday pay, a 401K plan, and opportunities like PSLF loan forgiveness.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license with a good driving record.
• Ability to pass criminal/registry background checks and a drug screen.
• Ability to pass trainings such as CPR/first aid, medication administration, and positive behavioral support.

Responsibilities

• Assist adults with daily living activities in residential settings.
• Administer medications and assist with meals and personal hygiene.
• Provide transportation to medical appointments as needed.
• Support implementation of individual behavioral plans and encourage community involvement.
