Abound Health is hiring Direct Support Professionals (DSP) to assist individuals with IDD in Hampstead, NC. Responsibilities include supporting ADLs, community participation, and behavioral support, while helping clients live independently.

The position offers flexible schedules, weekly pay, paid onboarding and training, and opportunities for advancement within a mission-driven company with over 20 years in the I/DD space.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ years old.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to pass background checks and health registry.
• Willingness to assist with personal care and daily living tasks.
• Lifting may be required depending on client needs.
• No prior disability care experience required; training provided.

Responsibilities

• Build positive relationships and help individuals achieve personal goals.
• Assist with daily living activities (meals, hygiene, tasks).
• Support community participation, employment, and social activities.
• Use adaptive tools to aid learning and communication.
• Encourage independence and skill development.
• Monitor health and safety, maintain a supportive environment.
• Communicate with team, families, and case managers as needed.
• Complete documentation and maintain schedules.
• Participate in ongoing training and development.
