Job summary

Abound Health is seeking Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) in Hampstead, NC to provide caregiving and daily living support for individuals with IDD. The role focuses on ADLs, community participation, and behavioral support to help clients live independently.

Qualifications

18+ years old
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Ability to pass criminal and health checks
Willingness to address personal care needs when necessary
Lifting may be required

Responsibilities

Build positive relationships and support individuals in achieving personal goals
Assist with daily living activities such as meal preparation, hygiene, and household tasks
Support individuals in community participation, employment, and social activities
Use adaptive tools to aid learning and facilitate communication
Encourage independence and help individuals develop new skills
Monitor health and safety while maintaining a supportive environment
Communicate with Abound team members, families, and external parties as needed
Complete documentation and maintain schedules
Complete ongoing training and professional development
