Job summary

VanCare, Inc. is seeking a Direct Support Professional to assist individuals with daily living activities and personal care in a community setting.

You will document care, help clients access community resources and participate in social activities, while upholding safety and privacy standards. The role requires a valid CPR/FA certification and ongoing training; you will attend mandatory meetings and maintain all required credentials.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• No prior experience required.
• Maintain CPR/FA, NAR/C.N.A./HCA certifications as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals with basic needs including personal care and ADLs.
• Support individuals to safely access their community and engage in activities.
• Complete required documentation during shifts and shifts changes.
• Keep certifications current (CPR/FA, NAR/C.N.A./HCA) throughout employment.
• Attend mandatory meetings and trainings as scheduled.
• Follow all agency policies, procedures and safety guidelines.
