Job summary

Merakey is seeking Caregivers/DSPs to join our program in Redding, CA. You will provide personal care and support to clients living in their homes, assisting with daily living activities while upholding dignity and privacy.

This role involves light housekeeping, meal prep, companionship, and helping with mobility in a residential setting. Merakey offers generous benefits and opportunities to grow within a nonprofit dedicated to well-being.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• A valid driver's license is required.
• Experience with ADLs and caregiving is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide the personal care and support to clients who live in the home.
• Assist with activities of daily living including toileting, bathing, dressing and grooming while maintaining dignity and privacy.
• Light housekeeping, meal preparation, feeding and companionship.
• Help with ambulation, transferring and range of motion exercises.
• Ensure a safe home environment with unobstructed pathways.
• Participate in activities that bring clients joy such as puzzles, games, reading and day program attendance.
