Job summary

In Good Company Care and Supports is seeking compassionate Direct Support Professionals to join our team across New Jersey. We offer both full-time and part-time positions, with training provided for all required certifications.

You will work in homes and communities, assisting with daily living, personal care, meals, and transportation, following individualized plans and documenting services per NJ DDD guidelines.

Qualifications

• Experience working with individuals with IDD preferred, but not required — training provided.
• Patient, compassionate, and dependable.
• Strong communication skills and good judgment.
• Comfortable with personal care tasks.
• Background checks required and DDD-mandated training (CPR/First Aid, Medication Administration) provided by the company.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct, hands-on support to individuals with IDD in homes and communities.
• Assist with daily living activities, including personal care, meals, and household tasks.
• Support individuals in community activities, appointments, and outings.
• Follow individualized care plans and behavior support plans as directed.
• Administer medication as trained and authorized (where applicable).
• Document services provided accurately per NJ DDD requirements.
• Communicate regularly with families, care team members, and agency staff regarding needs and progress.
• Maintain a safe, respectful, and person-centered environment at all times.
