Job summary

Sevita is seeking a Direct Support Professional in Alaska to provide hands-on support within residential or periodic programs. You will help with daily living activities, health maintenance, transportation, and community access.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Six months of experience in human services preferred.
• Must be 18 years of age.
• Working knowledge of computers.

Responsibilities

• Direct Support: provides direct support or assistance per program plans, including socialization and development.
• Records: accurately documents progress and activity and reviews records.
• Management of Individuals' Assets: makes cost-effective purchases within the individual's budget and preferences.
• Relationships: maintains professional relationships with individuals, families, guardians, and case managers; follows Sevita standards.
• Reporting: reports abuse, neglect, and incidents per policy and external requirements.
• Rights: protects confidentiality and supports individuals' rights.

Skills

Six months of experience in human serv

Working knowledge of computers

Education

Valid driver's license in good standing
