Job summary

Midwest Health, Inc. is seeking a Direct Care Worker (non-meds) to provide direct care to residents, support daily living activities, and assist with housekeeping, laundry and meal services. The role requires following care plans, documenting resident status, and ensuring safety and comfort.

You will participate in shift reports, assist with bathing, dressing, dining, and mobility, and may assist in emergency procedures. Weekend and holiday rotation is expected.

Qualifications

• Assist residents with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing and mobility.
• Must be able to read, write and understand English; basic computer skills are a plus.
• Must be able to lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs and work flexible shifts including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents in and out of bed and into wheelchair as needed, possibly with gait belt.
• Assist residents with bathing, dressing, and peri care.
• Assist residents to bathroom and meals; provide feeding support as needed.
• Provide housekeeping, laundry, and linen services as scheduled by the Executive Director.
• Document and report resident information; complete shift reports.
