Job summary

Midwest Health is seeking a Direct Care Worker to provide direct resident care and support daily living activities at our Iowa community. Responsibilities include assisting with bathing, dressing, meals, and mobility, while maintaining a clean med room and documenting resident information.

The role requires accurate reporting, adherence to safety policies, and periodic med administration within physician orders. Staff must be prepared for shift handovers and weekend coverage as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience in direct resident care or similar setting.
• Ability to assist with activities of daily living and housekeeping.
• Ability to document resident information accurately and timely.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living and mobility.
• Take and record vital signs per schedule and policy.
• Provide mealtime assistance and dining support as needed.
• Document and report resident information before shift end.
• Maintain med room and assist with medication preparation per policy.
• Provide housekeeping and laundry tasks as scheduled by supervisor.
• Report issues to RN and participate in shift handover.
