Job summary

Midwest Health Inc in Shenandoah, Iowa, is seeking a Direct Care Worker to support residents with daily living activities, housekeeping, laundry, and mealtime service. You will assist with bed mobility, bathing, dressing, peri care, and basic documentation under the oversight of the Executive Director.

Frontline duties require compassion, reliability, and the ability to work a rotating schedule including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents in and out of bed and into wheelchair according to procedure.
• Assist residents in bathing, dressing or undressing.
• Assist resident to bathroom and provide peri care as needed.
• Take and record vital signs according to community schedule and policies.
• Provide mealtime service and assist with feeding when required.
• Provide housekeeping and laundry services as scheduled by the Executive Director.
• Perform minor maintenance and ensure compliance with safety requirements.
• May be required to work rotating weekends and holidays.
• Document and report information regarding residents prior to leaving shift.
