Job summary

Midwest Health Inc. is seeking a Direct Care Worker (meds) to provide hands-on support for community residents. You will assist with daily living activities, housekeeping, laundry, and mealtime service, while ensuring medications and treatments are administered per physician orders and policies.

The role requires the ability to document accurately, complete in-service education, and work weekends/holidays as needed, with strong communication and teamwork within the care team.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
• Must be able to work beyond normal hours and on weekends/holidays when necessary.
• Must demonstrate ability to develop and maintain good working relationships with co-workers.
• Must complete at least 12 hours of in-service education approved by the community and DHS.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care to residents, including activities of daily living.
• Assist with housekeeping, laundry, and mealtime service as assigned.
• Assist residents in bed, bathing, dressing, and bathroom needs according to procedures.
• Record vital signs and document information per shift.
• Provide and document medications and treatments per physician orders.
