Job summary

United Cerebral Palsy Association Of Greater Cleveland is hiring for an entry level role located at the Main Office in Cleveland, OH. The position offers both full-time and part-time hours with a wage of $17.00–$18.00 per hour.

Responsibilities include direct care, skills training, health monitoring and documentation in ISP plans. Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma, a valid Ohio driver’s license, and reliable transportation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or the equivalent is required.
• Valid Ohio driver’s license with reliable transportation is required.
• Must be able to lift and assist individuals with disabilities.
• Good writing and math skills for documentation.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily living skills training and supportive direct care services to clients as identified in their ISP; eg, meal prep, housekeeping, toileting, bathing, dressing, feeding, medications, shopping, appointments, transport.
• Ensure the safety and well‑being of clients, including shoveling snow to clear walkways.
• Honor the rights and confidentiality of clients, and treat them respectfully.
• Provide input into the team regarding client needs, abilities, wants and desires.
• Ensure client health/medical needs are reported and attended to on a timely basis.
• Develop functional knowledge of DD terminology and participate in training and health maintenance.
• Perform routine housekeeping to maintain a clean, safe living environment.
• Report for work on time, as scheduled and attend trainings.
• Attend staff meetings and supervisory meetings; complete required training annually (CPR, First Aid, DD Med‑Pass).
• Complete incident reports and notify supervisors for unusual incidents; report signs of abuse or neglect.
• Collect data and complete required documentation before going off‑duty and share relevant information with staff.
• Assist in developing positive community awareness and acceptance of persons with disabilities.
• Adhere to all agency policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
