Job summary

HELP Foundation, Inc. is seeking Direct Support Professionals to assist adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in residential facilities in Cleveland and surrounding areas.

Starting pay is $16.50/hour with the opportunity to earn up to $18.50/hour based on certifications, plus benefits, PTO, and a robust 401(k) plan. This role requires compassion, reliability and strong communication, with 1 year of relevant experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• 1 year of work experience preferably in a care providing role, or exposure to individuals with developmental or intellectual disabilities or a combination of experience and education.
• Generally a minimum age of 18 years of age; limited Direct Support Assistant opportunities available for 16-17 year olds.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily care and support to consumers in residential facilities.
• Administer medications and monitor health, including vitals and medical equipment.
• Document services accurately and maintain records of care provided.
• Transport consumers in Agency or personal vehicles.
• Keep facilities clean and safe and ensure wellbeing of consumers.
