Job summary

Avamere at South Hill in Spokane, WA is seeking a Part-Time Server to provide attentive dining service in a memory care, assisted living, or independent living setting. You will take orders, serve meals, set up and clear tables, and ensure a clean, welcoming dining experience for residents.

The role requires weekend availability, strong interpersonal skills, and adherence to safety and dietary guidelines. Wage ranges from $18.00 to $20.00 hourly DOE with benefits eligibility at 30+ hours.

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal and communication abilities with residents and co-workers.
• Maintain high personal hygiene and safe food handling.
• Ability to learn and operate basic kitchen and dining equipment.
• Commitment to elderly residents’ well-being and comfort.

Responsibilities

• Accurately taking and delivering meal and beverage orders.
• Serve food and beverages promptly, ensuring attractive presentation.
• Provide friendly, attentive service and address residents' needs.
• Set up dining room before meals and maintain cleanliness during service.
• Clear and reset tables after meals for the next service.
• Assist with room service orders to residents’ apartments.
• Know the menu and dietary considerations to answer questions.
• Interact professionally with residents and guests to create a welcoming environment.
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and policy procedures.
• Collaborate with wait staff and kitchen for smooth service.
• Dispose of waste according to policy.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
