Job summary

Jefferson City Care and Rehab is seeking a dedicated Dietary Cook to support our senior residents with nutritious meals. You will review menus, prepare foods per recipes, and supervise kitchen staff. A positive, caring attitude and teamwork are essential in our small-team environment.

Responsibilities

• Review planned menus to determine meats, vegetables, and soups.
• Compute food quantities to meet weekly menus and place orders.
• Maintain inventory and report shortages to the Dietary Supervisor.
• Coordinate with the dietitian on modified diets.
• Supervise dietary staff during food prep and cleanup.
• Train and orient new dietary staff.
• Prepare foods per approved recipes using kitchen equipment.
• Ensure food temperatures meet safety standards.
• Assist in resident care activities to support safety.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
