Job summary

Hartsville Rehab and Healthcare is seeking a Dietary Aide to join our dining and nutrition team. In this role you will support meal preparation, service, and ensure residents receive nourishing, well-presented meals.

You will follow dietary restrictions, maintain cleanliness, and collaborate with nursing and dietary staff to support resident wellbeing. No prior experience is required; on-the-job training will be provided.

Qualifications

• No experience required; on-the-job training provided.
• Lift up to 25 pounds and stand for long periods.
• Basic math skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Meal Preparation: Assist in preparing meals according to planned menus and dietary specifications.
• Meal Service: Set up resident trays, serve meals and snacks, and ensure all residents are accommodated.
• Special Dietary Needs: Follow instructions to meet residents' dietary restrictions, allergies, and preferences.
• Kitchen Maintenance: Wash and sanitize utensils, pots, pans, and flatware; clean and organize kitchen and dining areas.
• Inventory & Supplies: Receive, date, and store food deliveries; assist with inventory management.
• Safety & Sanitation: Follow food handling, handwashing, and sanitation procedures; maintain a safe work environment.
• Teamwork: Collaborate with nursing, dietary, and other staff to address resident needs.
