Job summary

Hartsville Rehab and Healthcare is hiring a Dietary Aide to join our patient-centered dining team in Hartsville, TN. You will support meal preparation, assist with serving, and help tailor meals to residents' dietary needs.

This role emphasizes safety, sanitation, and teamwork with nursing and dietary staff to deliver quality nutrition and dining experiences. No prior experience is required, and on-the-job training is provided.

Qualifications

• No prior experience required; on-the-job training provided.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for long periods.
• Basic math skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Meal preparation: assist in preparing meals according to planned menus and dietary specifications.
• Meal service: set up resident trays, serve meals and snacks, and ensure all residents are accommodated.
• Special dietary needs: follow instructions to meet residents' dietary restrictions, allergies, and preferences.
• Kitchen maintenance: wash and sanitize utensils, pots, pans, and flatware; clean and organize kitchen and dining areas.
• Inventory & supplies: receive, date, and store food deliveries; assist with inventory management.
• Safety & sanitation: follow food handling, handwashing, and sanitation procedures; maintain a safe work environment.
• Teamwork: collaborate with nursing, dietary, and other staff to address resident needs.
