Job summary

PruittHealth in Maryland (Charlotte Hall) is seeking a Dietary Aide to assist with food preparation and meal delivery to patients, following established guidelines. You will help the kitchen team, deliver trays, and ensure safe, sanitary food handling throughout the shift.

Qualifications

• Sufficient education to demonstrate functional literacy.
• None, on-the-job training is provided.
• Previous food service and/or food preparation experience preferred, long term care dietary experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Follows diet orders and NPO diet orders.
• Assists cook in preparing meals, desserts and snacks for patients/residents.
• Delivers trays to patients/residents in halls and dining area.
• Prepares between-meal nourishments and serves per guidelines.
• Records and follows portion substitutions per guidelines.
• Maintains sanitation and safety in dining and kitchen areas.
• Performs cleaning tasks and ensures proper equipment maintenance.
