Job summary

The Oaks Healthcare Center in Oklahoma is seeking a dedicated dietary aide to support patient meals and dietary services. You will prepare food trays, assist with meal delivery, maintain cleanliness, and follow infection control practices to ensure resident safety.

You will work under the Dietary Manager, perform dishwashing, assist with salads and nourishments, and help keep the kitchen organized while treating residents and coworkers with respect.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write, speak and understand the English language.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food trays for general and therapeutic diets.
• Prepare and deliver items as requested.
• Maintain tray line in a clean, neat, and organized manner.
• Deliver food carts to patient care units.
• Return carts to kitchen at designated times.
• Load and oversee dishwashers and log and record wash/rinse temperatures.
• Wash specified items by hand.
• Assist in kitchen cleaning as per facility policies.
• Assist in preparing salads, desserts, and other nourishments.
• Perform special cleaning duties using infection control techniques as assigned by the Dietary Manager.
• Treat co-workers, residents and guests with respect and dignity.
• Perform all aspects of resident care in an environment that optimizes resident safety and reduces medical/health care errors.
