Job summary

University of Maryland Medical System Corporation seeks a Dietary Aide-NU to prepare and serve a variety of meals for patients, staff and visitors. You will assist in food service storage, inventory and ordering, while maintaining sanitation and safety standards in all work areas.

The role involves direct customer interaction, handling cash, and supporting training for new staff. This position is part-time, with annual hours under 1000, and requires a high school diploma or GED as preferred

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience in food service or related training preferred.
• Ability to handle cash and reconcile cash drawer.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, display, portion and serve food for patients, staff and visitors.
• Assist in storage, inventory, and ordering in the food service area.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of workstations and equipment per safety rules.
• Interact with customers and provide courteous, cost-effective service.
• Support training of new staff and ongoing customer service training.
