Job summary

Stilwell Nursing and Rehab is seeking a Dietary Aide to support daily meal services and nourishment for residents. You will prepare food trays for general and therapeutic diets, deliver meals to patient units, and maintain a clean tray line in the kitchen area.

The role requires you to read, write, speak and understand English, and to treat coworkers, residents and guests with respect. You will assist with kitchen cleanup and infection control under the Dietary Manager’s guidance, contributing

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food trays for general and therapeutic diets.
• Deliver items as requested to patient care units.
• Maintain tray line in a clean, neat, and organized manner.
• Deliver food carts to patient care units. Return carts to kitchen at designated times.
• Load and oversee dishwashers and log and record wash/rinse temperatures.
• Wash specified items by hand (pots, pans, knives).
• Assist in kitchen cleaning as per facility policies.
• Assist in preparing salads, desserts, and other nourishments.
• Performs special cleaning duties using proper infection control techniques as assigned by the Dietary Manager.
• Treat co-workers, residents and guests with respect and dignity.
• Perform all aspects of resident care in an environment that optimizes resident safety and reduces the likelihood of medical/health care errors.
• Perform other tasks and duties as assigned.
