The Alden Network is seeking a Dietary Aide to assist with dietary functions in a hospital/facility setting. The role requires reading, writing, and spoken English, plus the ability to follow instructions and work cooperatively with staff and residents.

Ideal candidates may have prior dietary experience in healthcare, but new hires with a strong work ethic are welcome. The position emphasizes safety, cleanliness, and teamwork within the dietary services team.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent.
• One (1) year dietary experience in a hospital, skilled nursing facility, or other related medical facility preferred (but not necessary).
• Must be able to follow oral and written instructions.
• Must be able to read, write, and speak the English language in an understandable manner.
• Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with residents, family members, visitors, personnel, government agencies/personnel and the general public.

Responsibilities

• Provide assistance in all dietary functions as directed, in accordance with standards and facility policies.
• Support in maintaining food safety, cleanliness, and order in work areas.
• Assist in serving meals and preparing food per scheduled menus.
• Carry out routine tasks and report any hazards or incidents to the supervisor.
• Attend staff meetings and in-services as scheduled.
