Job summary

The Alden Network is seeking a Dietary Aide to assist with all dietary functions within the facility. You will follow policies, help prepare and serve meals, and keep work areas clean and sanitary.

Basic education is required with preference for hospital or facility experience. Strong English communication and a cooperative attitude are essential for daily interactions with residents and staff.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent.
• One year dietary experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English clearly.
• Ability to deal tactfully with residents, families, and staff.
• Ability to work harmoniously with other personnel.
• Patience, tact, cheerful disposition, and enthusiasm.

Responsibilities

• Follow dietary procedures per established policies.
• Assist in meal preparation and serving per schedule.
• Maintain clean, sanitary, and orderly work areas.
• Assist in determining equipment and supply needs.
• Review menu extensions prior to food preparation.
• Deliver meals and serve snacks as instructed.
• Report accidents and hazardous conditions to supervisor.
• Attend staff meetings and other scheduled training.
