Job summary

Temple Manor Nursing Home is seeking a Dietary Aide to assist in preparing, serving, and delivering meals that meet dietary guidelines and resident preferences. You will help maintain a clean, safe dining environment and support the dietary team with efficient service.

The role emphasizes teamwork, adherence to safety and sanitation standards, and friendly interactions with residents during meals. Prior dietary or healthcare experience is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred but not required.
• Experience in dietary services, food service, or healthcare preferred.
• Knowledge of safe food handling, sanitation and infection control.
• Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
• Physical ability to stand for long periods, lift 25–50 lbs and perform repetitive tasks.

Responsibilities

• Assist in meal preparation and serving according to approved menus and dietary specifications.
• Deliver meals to residents in a timely and courteous manner.
• Ensure proper portion sizes and accommodate special diets, allergies, or texture modifications.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of dining areas, kitchen, and equipment.
• Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment according to safety and sanitation standards.
• Assist with inventory management, stocking supplies, and reporting shortages.
• Follow all safety, infection control, and facility protocols.
• Provide friendly, respectful interaction with residents during meals and snack service.
