Job summary

Aberjona Rehabilitation and Nursing Center is seeking a caring Dietary Aide to join our team. The role involves assisting with food preparation, serving meals, and keeping dining areas clean and hygienic to support residents’ well-being.

You will perform meal prep, tray setup, serving, cleaning, and related duties, contributing to a positive dining experience for residents. Weekend availability and English proficiency are required.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write and speak English.
• Ability to perform work tasks within physical demands, such as sitting, standing, and walking.
• Lift up to 35 lbs.
• Flexible availability, including weekends.
• Computer skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Preparatory work for meals including setup of dining rooms.
• Setup of food trays with condiments, napkins, juices, milk, etc.
• Serve meals to residents, pouring beverages, etc.
• Clear trays and dishes; resets dining rooms
• Assist with cleaning kitchen and storage area
• Dispose of trash
• Perform other related duties as assigned
