Job summary

Healthcare Services Group (HCSG) is seeking a Dietary Aide to prepare and serve meals for residents in a long-term care setting. You will follow dietary guidelines, assist with basic food prep, and ensure timely service with a focus on quality and safety.

You will work as part of a supportive team, maintaining a positive attitude, communicating clearly with residents and staff, and upholding infection control and hygiene standards in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in food service or kitchen environment preferred but not required.
• Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
• Maintain a positive attitude and communicate with occupants, administration, and leadership.
• Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination policies.
• Must lift up to 30 pounds, push up to 50 pounds, stand and walk for extended periods.
• Must perform routine, repetitive tasks and work around food and cleaning products.
• ServSafe or Food Handler certification required by state/county law.
• Residency within the service area required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with food preparation, including chopping vegetables and preparing salads.
• Serve meals to residents according to dietary needs and portion sizes.
• Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, and dining areas.
• Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Interact positively with residents, staff, and guests, providing excellent customer service.
• All other duties as assigned.
