Job summary

Healthcare Services Group, Inc. seeks a Dietary Aide to prepare and serve meals for residents in a long-term care facility. You will contribute to nourishing residents while ensuring dietary guidelines are followed.

This role emphasizes teamwork, safety, and friendly, customer-focused service. A high school diploma is preferred, and ServSafe/ Food Handler certification may be required by state. Training is provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in food service or kitchen environment is a plus but not required.
• Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
• Maintain a positive attitude and communicate effectively with residents and staff.
• Compliance with vaccination policies as required by state/county law.
• Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds and stand for extended periods.
• Residency within the service area may be required.
• ServSafe or Food Handler certification may be required by state/county law.

Responsibilities

• Assist with food preparation, including chopping vegetables and preparing salads.
• Serve meals to residents according to dietary needs and portion sizes.
• Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, and dining areas.
• Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Interact positively with residents, staff, and guests, providing excellent customer service.
• All other duties as assigned.
