Job summary

sci is seeking a Transfer Specialist in Ocala, FL to handle care, removal, and transport of deceased. You will collaborate with team members, drive company vehicles, and maintain neat, professional appearance when meeting families.

Responsibilities include transfers, documentation, and entry into proprietary software, with on-call weekend and night shifts as needed; a valid license and physical endurance are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Current state driver's license with a clean driving record.
• At least 1 year of courier/driver experience with direct customer interaction preferred.
• Ability to work weekends, nights, and holidays; on-call rotation.
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs regularly and up to 100 lbs occasionally; push/pull 200 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Safely drives company vehicles to perform first call transfers of deceased in compliance with laws and policies.
• Maintain chain-of-custody, complete paperwork, and identify the deceased.
• Interact with families professionally; coordinate with first responders and facility staff.
• Enter event information into proprietary software; transport caskets to destinations.
• Vehicle maintenance duties including cleaning, fueling, and basic troubleshooting.
