Job summary

Keystone Health is seeking a part-time Crisis Intervention Specialist I to join our team. You will provide telephone-based support to individuals in emotional or behavioral health crises and assess caller needs with crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques.

The role focuses on connecting callers with community resources and referrals as needed, contributing to compassionate, timely crisis response services in the community.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in sociology, social work, psychology, gerontology, anthropology, political science, history, criminal justice, theology, nursing, education or a related field
• Be a registered nurse
• Have a high school diploma or equivalency and 12 semester credit hours in sociology, social work, psychology, social work, gerontology, anthropology, political science, history, criminal justice, theology, nursing, counseling, education or related field
• Have a high school diploma or equivalency and 3 years of mental health direct care experience in public or private human services with employment as a mental health staff person prior to 1/1/92
• be a consumer or a family member who has 1 year of experience as an advocate or leader in a consumer or family group and has a high school diploma or GED.
• Staff persons employed by a provider who have 5 years’ experience as a supervisor of mental health services in a mental health agency prior to 1/1/92 will be exempt from this section.

Responsibilities

• Answering the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline and providing telephone-based support to individuals experiencing emotional or behavioral health crises.
• Assess caller needs, offer crisis intervention and de-escalation support, and connect individuals with appropriate community resources and referrals as needed.
