Job summary

Glendale-Post-Acute-Center seeks a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to assist with individualized treatment plans and therapeutic activities for residents. You will monitor progress and educate families on home exercise programs while maintaining a safe therapy environment.

Works under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive patient care in a skilled nursing setting.

Qualifications

• Associate degree from an accredited OTA program.
• Current state licensure as COTA.
• Experience in a skilled nursing facility or similar healthcare setting is preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Occupational Therapist in developing and implementing individualized treatment plans for residents.
• Administer therapeutic activities and exercises as prescribed by the Occupational Therapist.
• Monitor and document residents' progress and report any changes or concerns to the Occupational Therapist.
• Educate residents and their families on home exercise programs and adaptive techniques.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe therapy environment.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory standards and facility policies.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive care to residents.
