Palmetto Subacute Care Center seeks a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to carry out treatment plans under supervision of an Occupational Therapist. The role emphasizes high-quality patient care, thorough progress documentation, and collaboration with the rehabilitation team in a long-term care setting.

The ideal candidate holds a valid COTA license, can document patient progress weekly, and works well across disciplines to deliver exceptional patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid COTA license and registration for the state of practice.
• Provide comprehensive treatment under supervision of the OT.
• Experience with long-term care and/or geriatric care is preferred.
• Well versed with documentation writing.
• Document patient progress weekly.
• Collaborates with all disciplines to provide patient-centered care.

Responsibilities

• Carry out best-practice treatments under OT supervision.
• Provide treatment aligned with OT goals.
• Maintain timely documentation and progress notes.
• Collaborate with the rehabilitation team to ensure patient-centered care.
• Report to work on time and uphold professionalism.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Rehabilitation.
