Qualifications

• One year experience as a cook in hotel, restaurant, hospital, or similar institution preferred.
• Food handlers’ card required, or Food Safety Certification where required by local ordinance.
• Must have fundamental understanding of sanitation, cleanliness, and personal hygiene.
• Must be able to tactfully communicate with residents, staff, and visitors.
• Regular, predictable, and dependable attendance required.

Responsibilities

• Prepares food in accordance with standard menus and specifications.
• Follow recipes and ensure proper storage of food and supplies.
• Supervise serving of meals and assist in clean-up of areas and equipment.
• Ensure all residents have received meals and safety practices are followed.
• Maintain communication with administration and nursing leadership as needed.
