Williamsburg Village Healthcare Campus in DeSoto, TX seeks a dedicated Cook to prepare quality meals for residents according to approved menus and dietary guidelines. You will work with a multidisciplinary team to ensure safe, timely service and compliance with sanitation standards.

Qualifications

• One year experience as a cook in hospital or similar setting preferred.
• Food handlers’ card or local Food Safety Certification required.
• Fundamental sanitation, cleanliness, and personal hygiene understood.
• Ability to communicate tactfully with residents, staff and public.
• Regular, predictable attendance required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare foods using standard recipes and production worksheets.
• Follow safety and sanitation procedures and ensure proper storage of foods and supplies.
• Serve meals with correct portion control and plating/presentation guidelines.
• Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, work areas, and storage areas.
• Close the kitchen per policy and maintain communication with supervisors.
