Job summary

Vista Prairie Garnette Gardens is seeking a Cook to prepare and serve meals for residents in a compliant, sanitary kitchen. This full-time role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and high-quality service in a care-focused environment.

We offer shift differentials for evenings and weekends, with 6pm–2am shifts and every other weekend/holiday. A high school diploma or GED is preferred, and culinary training or cook experience is welcomed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Training in Culinary Arts and/or 1 year’s experience as a cook preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to read, write, and carry out directions required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals according to established menus and dietary guidelines.
• Ensure food is prepared and served in a safe, sanitary, and timely manner.
• Follow all food safety and sanitation procedures in compliance with health regulations.
• Assist in maintaining a clean and organized kitchen and dining area.
• Provide friendly and attentive service to residents, employees, and guests.
• Support residents by providing personal care and service during meal times as needed.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations and resident satisfaction.
