Job summary

Cornerstone Management is seeking cooks for full-time and part-time positions to prepare and serve meals in our assisted living communities. You will ensure meals meet dietary needs and standards while delivering exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities include following recipes, proper food handling, maintaining kitchen cleanliness, and supporting wait staff. A team-oriented, compassionate approach to senior care is essential, along with adherence to safety regulations.

Qualifications

• Must understand and communicate food service vocabulary.
• Punctual with a good attendance record.
• Able to prioritize and organize work effectively and efficiently.
• Flexible and adaptable to changing situations.
• Compassionate and work with tact and ethical awareness.
• Must work as a team member with other personnel and supervisors.

Responsibilities

• Prepare meals according to menu and dietary needs, using safe and sanitary food handling practices.
• Follow recipes, portion control, and presentation standards to deliver high-quality meals on schedule.
• Receive, label, and store food properly to ensure safety and minimize waste.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen and work areas.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and report any issues to the Chef Supervisor.
• Support and direct Wait Staff as needed; assist with training and scheduling.
• Ensure compliance with state food safety regulations, including HACCP and the Wisconsin Food Code.
• Communicate concerns or incidents to Chef Supervisor or management promptly.
• Support the mission and values of Cornerstone Management Communities.
