Job summary

Jackson Creek Senior Living is seeking a Cook to independently prepare meals and manage food production for residents, supporting the Sous or Executive Chef to maintain high quality and safety standards.

You will prepare a variety of meals, adapt recipes for residents' dietary needs, ensure appealing presentation, and help with kitchen cleanliness and equipment maintenance. Previous senior living or healthcare cooking experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• 2+ years cooking experience in senior living, healthcare, or restaurant setting.
• Promote teamwork and safety in the kitchen.
• Knowledge of kitchen appliances and equipment operation.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals for residents with attention to quality and presentation.
• Adapt recipes for special dining needs and dietary restrictions.
• Ensure attractive plating and proper storage of foods.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and storage areas.
• Record temperatures and report equipment issues as needed.
