Job summary

Community Services Group is seeking a Driver to transport individuals to appointments and programs, reporting to the Program Supervisor. This role requires reliable transportation, safe driving, and the ability to work independently in the community.

You will follow trauma-informed care principles, maintain vehicle logs, keep vehicles clean, develop schedules, and uphold safety procedures while supporting participants with dignity and inclusion.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must have 2 years of driving experience.
• Must be able to drive a passenger van.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules and procedures.
• Knowledge of the geographic area served.

Responsibilities

• Provides transportation services between residential homes, program sites, and offices.
• Assists in developing transportation schedules.
• Transports individuals to appointments.
• Follows safety procedures at all times during vehicle operation.
• Performs monthly vehicle maintenance checks and schedules inspections.
• Completes daily mileage logs and required forms accurately and on time.
• Reads and applies safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions.
• Works independently with minimal supervision.
• Accompanies individuals in the community and supports interactions with dignity.
• Learns and models trauma-informed care principles: safety, choice, collaboration, trustworthiness, empowerment.
• Promotes cultural, racial, language, gender access, diversity, equity and inclusion.
