Job summary

Santa Fe Care in Albuquerque is seeking a dedicated Nursing Assistant to support residents with daily living activities, bathing, dressing, and mobility, following care plans and nursing staff directions.

You will respond to call lights, monitor residents, document care provided, and help maintain a clean, safe environment while upholding Residents' Rights and infection control guidelines. Previous LTC experience is preferred; English fluency is required.

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate with residents and nursing staff.
• Must speak, read and write English.
• Prior LTC nursing assistant experience preferred; or equivalent.
• Successful completion of State Approved Nursing Assistant Training and Competency Evaluation Program.
• Good standing in the state registry is required.

Responsibilities

• Answers signal lights, bells, or intercom system to determine residents’ needs and ensures call lights are within reach of resident.
• Gives direct resident care such as bathing, dressing, and grooming of residents.
• Assists residents as necessary in activities of daily living.
• Notifies Supervisor if resident needs clothing and helps with mobility.
• Maintains cleanliness of residents units and related areas; follows infection control guidelines.
