Job summary

Santa Fe Care in Rio Rancho, NM is seeking a full-time Nursing Assistant to support residents per care plans. You will respond to signals, assist with activities of daily living, provide bathing and grooming, and monitor vital signs in a respectful, safety-conscious environment.

Successful completion of the State Approved Nursing Assistant Training and Competency Evaluation Program is required with good standing in the state registry.

Qualifications

• Prior LTC experience preferred; or equivalent education/experience.
• Successful completion of State Approved Nursing Assistant Training and Competency Evaluation Program.
• Good standing in the state registry is required.

Responsibilities

• Answers signal lights, bells, or intercom to assess needs.
• Check residents frequently if unable to call for help.
• Provide direct care: bathing, dressing, grooming.
• Explain procedures to residents.
• Assist with activities of daily living.
• Assist with bowel and bladder functions.
• Assist with transportation to appointments/activities.
• Aid with lifting/positioning and mobility as needed.
• Provide incontinent care as required.
• Dress residents appropriately for weather.
• Notify Supervisor of changes in condition.
• Maintain infection control in linens and rooms.
• Record meal intake and document snacks/supplements.
• Encourage fluids to prevent dehydration.
