Job summary

Chateau Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to provide resident care and support in activities of daily living. You will assist with meals, hygiene, ambulation, vital signs, and comfort while maintaining privacy and confidentiality.

Requirements include CNA certification, CPR, and English language proficiency; long-term care experience is preferred. This role is on-site at our Fort Wayne, Indiana facility, with opportunities to participate in ongoing

Qualifications

• Current certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant in the state of practice.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Long-term care experience preferred.
• Current CPR certification required.
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Assist with serving meals and feeding; provide fresh water and nourishment between meals.
• Assist with personal hygiene (bedpans, urinals, baths, backrubs, shampoos, shaves); assist with bathroom trips; help with showers and baths.
• Assist residents in ambulating, turning, and positioning.
• Monitor vital signs and weight; document intake and output.
• Provide resident comfort by responding to call lights, reporting observations to nursing supervisor, and maintaining privacy.
• Document actions by completing forms, reports, logs and records.
• Protect privacy and confidentiality; comply with HIPAA and related laws.
• Adhere to professional standards and company policies, and all laws.
• Update job knowledge through education and professional materials and licensure maintenance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
