Job summary

Waldron-Rehabilitation-and-Healthcare-Center is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to provide resident care and support with daily living activities in a long-term care setting.

The role requires current CNA and CPR certifications, English proficiency, and a willingness to maintain licensure and participate in ongoing education. Experience in long-term care is preferred; adhere to HIPAA and all applicable regulations.

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification as required by state law.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Long term care experience preferred.
• CPR certification required.
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Assist with serving meals and feeding; provide water and nourishment between meals.
• Assist with personal hygiene: bedpans, baths, showers, backrubs, shaves.
• Assist with ambulating, turning, and positioning residents.
• Monitor vital signs and weight; document intake and output.
• Respond to call lights and requests; report observations to nursing supervisor.
• Document actions by completing forms, reports, logs and records.
• Protect privacy and HIPAA compliance; follow laws and policies.
• Follow professional standards and applicable regulations (JCAHO).
• Update job knowledge through education and professional activities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
