Job summary

Priority Health in Grand Rapids is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to join the Specialized - Home Care West team. You will provide direct patient care under the direction of the Unit Manager or licensed nurse, support residents’ needs, document care per guidelines, and help maintain a safe, clean care environment.

Work hours are 8 a.m.–4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, with 40 hours weekly. A Michigan-approved CNA program, high school diploma, and current BLS are required; a valid Michigan

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of State of Michigan approved CNA Training Course.
• CRT-Nursing Assistant - Michigan Department of Licensing & Regulatory Affairs required upon hire.
• LIC-Driver's License - State of Michigan required upon hire.
• CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA/ARC required within 90 days (Hospice or non-Hospice).

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under the direction of the Unit Manager or Licensed Nurse.
• Assist with dressing, bathing, transporting and feeding.
• Document care provided in accordance with guidelines.
• Maintain patient environment and report equipment issues.
• Complete required CNA educational hours.
• Participate in unit quality monitoring activities.
