Job summary

Mariner Healthcare is seeking a Nursing Assistant to care for residents under supervision of a registered nurse or licensed practical nurse. Responsibilities include taking vital signs, assisting with daily living activities, and ensuring resident comfort and safety in a caring environment.

Requirements include completion of a state approved nursing assistant program and entry into the state nurse aide registry within 120 days.

Qualifications

• Must complete a state approved nursing assistant training program.
• State nurse aide registry entry within 120 days of employment.
• GED or High school diploma and 1–3 months related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Take and record vital signs.
• Measure and record height and weight.
• Assist with feeding and hydration.
• Bathes and dresses residents.
• Provide and reinforce resident dignity and comfort.
• Clean and maintain residents’ environment.
• Assist with mobility and transfers.
• Support residents with dementia and behavior management.
• Observe and report changes to a supervising nurse.
