Job summary

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED, or related experience preferred.
• Graduate of a state approved nursing assistant training program and passed a state approved competency exam within 120 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Take and record vital signs.
• Measure and record height and weight.
• Calculate and record weight gain or loss.
• Record fluid intake and output.
• Care for the resident's environment.
• Report abnormal changes to a supervisor.
• Care for residents when death is imminent.
• Make routine rounds on each assigned resident every two hours.
• Assist with bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, eating and hydration.
• Use proper feeding techniques and monitor meal intake.
