Job summary

Five Star Nursing seeks a compassionate Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) to support residents across care settings. The role emphasizes high-quality, resident-centered care and collaboration with the nursing team to ensure health, safety and well-being.

The CNA should have current certification, strong communication, and physical ability to assist with mobility and daily activities while upholding infection control standards and resident rights.

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification in the state of employment.
• Minimum of 2 years of CNA experience in healthcare or long-term care.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with compassionate resident-focused care.
• Knowledge of resident rights, safety procedures, and infection control practices.
• Physical ability to lift, transfer, and assist residents safely and effectively.

Responsibilities

• Provide ADL assistance (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, feeding) in a respectful manner.
• Monitor and document vital signs, intake/output, and changes in resident condition.
• Assist with transfers, ambulation, positioning and mobility with safe techniques.
• Offer emotional support, companionship, and reassurance to residents.
• Report observations and changes to the nursing team promptly and accurately.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and infection-controlled environment.
• Support rehabilitation and restorative programs and mobility efforts.
• Respond to call lights and resident needs promptly.
