Job summary

Qualifications

• Must hold a licensed Certified Nursing Assistant.
• Minimum 6 months CNA experience or clinical experience during CNA training.
• Desire to serve the ill, aged and infirm.
• Ability to read, write and speak English.
• Ability to interact tactfully with residents, families, visitors and staff.
• Willingness to work harmoniously with other personnel.
• Patience, tact, cheerful disposition and enthusiasm for residents.
• Good health and emotional stability.
• Ability to relate to ill, disabled, elderly and emotionally upset residents.

Responsibilities

• Perform duties per facility policies, procedures and safety rules.
• Make resident rounds at shift start and every two hours to provide care.
• Verify resident identity before care or meals.
• Report missing ID bands to admissions coordinator immediately.
• Make beds and clean bedside/overbed tables.
• Ensure water pitchers are cleaned, filled and accessible.
• Additional duties as directed by Charge Nurse, RN Supervisor, Director of Nurses or Administrator.
