Qualifikationen

• Prior LTC nursing assistant experience preferred; or equivalent education/experience.
• Successful completion of State Approved Nursing Assistant Training and Competency Evaluation Program.
• Good standing in the state registry is required.

Aufgaben

• Answers signal lights, bells, or intercom to determine residents' needs and ensures call lights are within reach.
• Checks on residents unable to call for help; responds to call lights promptly.
• Provides direct resident care such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
• Explains procedures to residents and assists with activities of daily living.
• Assists with bowel and bladder functions and transportation to appointments and activities.
• Assists with lifting, positioning, and transferring residents safely.
• Provides incontinent care and dresses residents appropriately for weather.
• Notifies supervisor of changes in resident clothing needs and linen changes.
• Cleans and maintains cleanliness of resident areas; documents care provided.
• Records vital signs and inputs, and monitors resident health and reports irregularities.
• Participates in nursing reports and attends in-services and staff meetings.
