Job summary

Bowling Green is seeking a Nursing Assistant to support resident care in a Kentucky LTC setting. You will respond to call lights, assist with daily living activities, and help with mobility and positioning under care plans.

The role requires completion of a State Approved Nursing Assistant Training and Competency Evaluation Program, with focus on clear communication with residents and nursing staff. Prior LTC experience is preferred, and ensuring safety and infection control is essential.

Qualifications

• Prior experience as LTC nursing assistant preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Successful completion of State Approved Nursing Assistant Training and Competency Evaluation Program.
• Good standing in the state registry is required.
• Ability to communicate with residents and nursing staff.

Responsibilities

• Answer signal lights, bells, or intercom to determine residents' needs.
• Provide direct resident care such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living and mobility needs.
• Record and monitor vital signs and intake/output as directed.
• Maintain cleanliness of resident units, treatment and supply rooms, and equipment.
• Handle linens according to infection control guidelines.
