Job summary

Always Best Care Fairfax is seeking an experienced CNA/PCA to provide total care for a client in Great Falls, VA. This role offers 12-hour shifts with a strong emphasis on dignity, safety, and compassionate engagement throughout the day.

Responsibilities include ADL assistance, transfers, mobility support, feeding, hydration, companionship, and careful observation to ensure comfort and well-being. Preference for Virginia CNA license or proven PCA experience.

Qualifications

• Active Virginia CNA license strongly preferred or highly experienced PCA.
• Experience providing total care required.
• Experience with dementia or memory-related challenges preferred.
• Experience supporting bed-bound and wheelchair-bound clients preferred.
• Knowledge of safe transfer techniques and mobility assistance.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs).
• Assist with transfers and repositioning throughout the day.
• Support wheelchair mobility and bed mobility needs.
• Assist with feeding, meal setup, and hydration.
• Provide companionship, conversation, and meaningful engagement.
• Offer gentle prompting and support related to daily routines.
• Assist with toileting, continence care, bathing, dressing, and grooming.
• Monitor client comfort, safety, and overall well-being.
• Maintain a clean and organized care environment.
• Communicate effectively with family members, facility staff, and care management personnel to ensure continuity of care.
