Job summary

Freedom Home Care LLC in Virginia is seeking a Personal Care Aide (PCA) for hands-on daily living support in a full-time role. You will assist clients with daily activities, mobility, meal prep, and companionship to promote comfort and independence.

No prior CNA required; training provided. Must be reliable, able to lift up to 50 lbs, have a valid driver's license, and travel within the service area to visit clients.

Qualifications

• Prior experience as a PCA, caregiver, HHA, or CNA is a plus.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and follow infection-control and safety protocols.
• Friendly, clear communicator who respects client dignity and confidentiality.
• Dependable and detail-oriented—you notice small changes that make a big difference.

Responsibilities

• Personal Care Excellence – assist with bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing, and safe transfers.
• Mobility & Exercise – guide ambulation, walker/wheelchair use, and ROM routines.
• Nutritious Meal Prep – plan and cook simple, balanced meals; monitor hydration.
• Safe & Tidy Home – light housekeeping, laundry, and fall-prevention checks.
• Medication Cueing – provide timely reminders and note changes for supervising nurse.
• Meaningful Companionship – conversation, games, and escorted outings.
• Errands & Transportation – accompany clients to appointments and activities.
